Dubai Municipality has opened registration for the fifth edition of Souk Al Freej, a seasonal market that will bring together local entrepreneurs and small businesses across three public parks this winter. Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, said the initiative forms part of wider efforts to make the emirate's parks more vibrant neighbourhood spaces during the cooler months.
This year's market will run in three locations on a rolling schedule: Nad Al Sheba Rose Garden from December 11 to 20, Al Barsha Pond Park from December 25 to January 3, 2027, and Al Warqa Park from January 8 to 17. Each stop will be open daily from 4:30pm to 10pm.
Fifty stalls will line the market, ten of which are reserved for activities, food and beverage vendors. A new "Asian Village Experience" zone will bring Asian-inspired design, cuisine and cultural performances to the event, alongside a zipline attraction, an interactive treasure hunt, free-play areas for children, creative workshops and a dedicated Gen Z zone.
Dubai Municipality said the previous edition of Souk Al Freej drew more than 308,000 visitors, underlining its growing popularity as a family destination during the winter season. Entrepreneurs interested in taking part in this year's market can now submit their applications.
