The value of real estate transactions in Abu Dhabi jumped 76.1 per cent year-on-year to Dh171.26 billion in the first nine months of 2026, according to figures released by the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC). The total number of transactions rose 32.8 per cent to 38,483.
Sales transactions accounted for 23,749 deals worth Dh119.33 billion, up 105 per cent on the same period last year, while mortgage transactions totalled 14,390 deals worth Dh45.92 billion, a rise of 30.2 per cent.
Al Reem Island was the busiest district by value, recording Dh29.86 billion worth of transactions during the period.
Foreign investment in the emirate's property market also surged: non-resident buyers from 121 nationalities poured Dh17.22 billion into Abu Dhabi real estate, more than double the Dh8.2 billion recorded for the whole of 2025.
"The scale of investment shows how many people and businesses are making a long-term commitment to Abu Dhabi," said Rashed Al Omaira, director general of ADREC.
The emirate's property market has also gained international recognition, climbing eight places to rank 33rd in JLL's 2026 Global Real Estate Transparency Index, up from 41st in 2024 — a rise analysts attribute to improved regulation and greater market transparency.
